I understand how important it is to find a counsellor or psychotherapist you feel comfortable with, especially at a time when you may be feeling stuck or alone, dealing with a particular issue, or feeling more generally overwhelmed?
I offer a warm, compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental approach: a place to offload, perhaps find simple coping strategies, help you gain fresh insight, and the sense of balance or peace of mind you may seek.

In addition to practising privately as a psychotherapist and counsellor between Chester and Nantwich, I have worked within an NHS staff counselling service in the West Midlands.
I specialise in working one-to-one with adults, on an open-ended basis or for an agreed period, short and longer term. I have helped a wide range of people with a broad spectrum of issues, and I'm generally happy to work with whatever you may bring...more

My professional training, which allowed me to qualify and gain registration as a counsellor and psychotherapist, included a British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy ('BACP') accredited course at postgraduate level:

(Staffordshire University) BACP Accredited Course.
BSc (Hons)
(The University of Manchester).
Read about my additional qualifications here.

To help you explore your concerns, I strive always to be empathic, listen without judgment, and to be authentic and sensitive.
To make therapy as effective as possible for you, I am trained in more than one method of counselling and psychotherapy.
I am also trained to work collaboratively with you to blend and tailor those approaches, in accordance with your unique needs and preferences...more about my approach

I am generally happy to work with whatever you may bring, and these are just some of the areas I may deal with:
Stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, relationships, family issues, loneliness, self-esteem, self-confidence, self-acceptance, mid-life issues, carer support, work, redundancy, health, childlessness, infertility, miscarriage, sexuality, spirituality, support for the highly sensitive, and more...
Your best interests are at the heart of my practice, and as a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy ('BACP'), the professional association for members of the counselling and psychotherapy professions in the UK, I am committed to complying with the BACP Ethical Framework.
