About
I chose to train in counselling and psychotherapy beacuse I have always been naturally interested in people, motivated to help others, and fascinated by how our minds work. Prior to qualifying as a therapist, I found I most enjoyed supporting people, face-to-face, on a one-to-one basis.
Previously, I have worked for a variety of organisations, small, medium and large, both public and private, including at senior level. I bring my broader career and life experience to my counselling and psychotherapy practice.
Experience
In addition to practising privately as a psychotherapist and counsellor between Chester and Nantwich, I have worked within an NHS staff counselling service in the West Midlands.
I specialise in working one-to-one with adults, on an open-ended basis or for an agreed period, short and longer term. I have helped a wide range of people with a broad spectrum of issues.
Qualifications
My professional training, which allowed me to gain registration as a counsellor and psychotherapist, included a British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy ('BACP') accredited course at postgraduate level:
Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (with distinction)
(Staffordshire University) BACP Accredited Course.
BSc (Hons)
(The University of Manchester).
Additional Qualifications and Training
I am a qualified Mentor, have specialist telephone counselling training, and postgraduate qualifications in Careers Guidance and in Law.

As a BACP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor between Chester and Tarporley, I provide a confidential counselling and psychotherapy service, which is also easily accessible from the surrounding towns and villages, including Nantwich, Northwich, Winsford, and Frodsham.
